Internally, the Wildhorse upper is almost completely seamless Nike Blazer High Womens cheap sale from the midfoot forward ¨C there is just a bit of stitching at the junction of the midfoot and forefoot on each side. The interior lining is a soft, sock-like mesh and seems like it could handle sockless running without too much issue (have not tried this myself yet ¨C too cold up here). One issue I did have initially was some friction at the back of the heel associated with heel slippage. I was worried that I might get some blistering, but the problem seemed to resolve itself after a few runs.
Nike Free Run+ Review One oddity about this shoe is that it has a curved last and an offset lacing system, which makes it look like the shoe bends medially when viewed from above (see photo to the left). My sense is that this is more a function of the lacing system altering appearance than anything structural, but it makes for a bit of an odd look from above.
Nike sent me a pair of the Wildhorse 3 Nike Blazer Mens sale a few months ago (Disclosure: these shoes were review samples provided free of charge by the manufacturer), and I¡¯ve worn them extensively since. I¡¯ve used them casually, for hikes in the Green Mountains of VT, Shenandoah National Park in VA, Mt. Major in NH, and a few others. I¡¯ve also put in running miles on local trails ¨C nothing too technical, but enough to get a sense of traction and comfort/protection.
I¡¯ve long been a fan of the Free 3.0 line. The original 3.0 remains one of my all-time favorite shoes, and I¡¯ve run in several of the subsequent iterations. However, I passed on the 2014 version of the Free 3.0, which was the first version to incorporate the Flyknit upper. I¡¯d heard that the upper was pretty tight (it needs to be somewhat tight since it is what secures the foot to the sole ¨C the laces do very little), and the $140 price tag was a bit much to swallow. However, it¡¯s one of those shoes that readers have asked about a lot, and several have suggested that I try it.
Nike Free 3.0 2015 Medial--In terms of function and fit, I¡¯ve come to love the upper on this shoe. It isn¡¯t nearly as tight-fitting as I anticipated, and it does a great job of securing my foot against the sole. My guess is that fit and security will be highly dependent on foot shape ¨C if you have a particularly wide foot it may feel a bit restricting, if you have a narro Nike Blazer womens sale w foot you may have some lack of security, though in the latter case the laces may help a bit. Personally, I haven¡¯t cinched the laces at all and tension in the upper weave is pretty much solely responsible for keeping the shoe on my foot.
One of my areas of concern with v2 of the Wildhorse was durability of the upper, particularly in the area of the forefoot. I didn¡¯t experience any tearing in my pair, but the material appeared to be pilling/fraying a bit at the surface and I don¡¯ Nike Flyknit Trainer Mens sale t think they could handle hundreds of miles on the trail.
